BarTender
BarTender gives you total control over your label's appearance. Specify
any size and quantity of barcodes and any size and style of text on any size
label (or page). Choose from over twenty barcode symbol types, including all of
the major symbologies, as well as 2D barcodes like PDF417 and postal barcodes.
BarTender supports any printer with a Windows driver. Plus virtually
all industrial laser, ink-jet and dot-matrix printers.

Thermal printer users are no longer limited to just a few built in, generic
typefaces. BarTender`s printer drivers let you output the same rich variety of
Windows based TrueType and Adobe fonts previously available only on laser
printers. All fonts scale smoothly to any size, without the "blockiness"
seen with some enlarged thermal printer fonts.
Import & Export most graphics formats
It's easy to add company logos and pictures of products.
BarTender supports all major graphic formats,
including BMP, DCX, DIB, DXF, EPS, IMG, JPG, PCX, PNG, TGA,
TIF, WMF, WPG. You can also export bar codes for use in other
software packages.
External Data Sources (Pro and Enterprise versions)
ASCII text files (comma, quote-and-comma, or tab delimited). Import variable
graphics from databases. Microsoft ODBC support, including compatibility with
drivers for: Access, Allbase, AS/400, Btrieve, Clipper, dBase, DB2, Excel,
FoxPro, Ingress, Informix, Interbase, Lotus 1-2-3, Oracle, Paradox, Progress,
Quattro, SQL Server, Sybase, XDB and more.

 | No doubt about it BarTender is the barcode labeling software most professionals
will choose for serious business use (we use it here in the Barcode Man office).
Paradoxically it is
also one of the simplest to use, particularly if you just need to prepare labels
with graphics and barcodes quickly and effectively.
If you are a small company or an individual and simply need to design
and print labels then the Basic Edition will suit you well. It includes
the most frequently used label design features. Includes all text, graphics,
bar code, and most serializing capabilities. Works with keyboard and
scanner-supplied label data.
The Pro and Enterprise editions are more than just label design and print programs.
They can be integrated into an organisation's existing systems and even be controlled
by them. BarTender call this Automation. Automation can be a complex operation
and more details can be found on the
Bartender web site.
Choose the Professional edition if you need to interact with external programs
like databases. It includes all of BarTender’s most powerful label design features.
Most of the advanced data access capabilities, including OLE DB and ODBC.
Fully network compatible.
If you are thinking of introducing Barcodes throughout your whole
organisation then consider the Enterprise Edition. 'Enterprise' is a
step up from 'Pro'. It includes numerous software integration tools,
such as ActiveX Automation, enterprise messaging and Seagull’s own Commander
utility for cross-platform integration. Powerful data sourcing, including ODBC,
OLE-DB, and the industry’s only SAP-certified direct IDoc interface.
Support for Oracle XML label requests.

The Trial Edition of BarTender functions for 30 days just like
the full-working product. After that time, BarTender will run
in a slightly limited "demo mode" that randomly changes one
character in each bar code or text field that you print.
For example, if you were going to print out a text or bar code
field that said "ABCD", it might print out as "ABXD" instead.
Note: If you purchase the full-working BarTender
from Barcode Man it will load and print any label designs created
with the Trial Edition downloaded from this site
- even if they were designed while in "demo mode".
